I can’t actually take any credit for these photos taken during my Melbourne trip, apart from they were taken with my camera, but by my rather multi talented friend, Jean Louis.
He’s a self taught guitar player, photo dabbler, tech nerd, and all round great guy when it comes to playing Catan and having his friends gang up on him and keep the robber on one of his major resource tiles. Some people get super bitter; he just yelled ‘MY SHEEPS!’ every so often.
Street photography isn’t a strong point of mine. I don’t have the eye to compose the shots that say nothing but everything at the same time, and usually when I review the photos, the captured scene just looks really flat. JL said it was all in the composition, and street signs are a good starting point.
I’ll let these few pictures do the talking.
Personally I’m happy to just let my eyes roam without the need to capture anything, specific or otherwise. But I’ll happily lend my camera to someone who does know what they’re doing and then shamelessly feature the results here 🙂
Did I also mention he’s got an album out on iTunes? Check it out if you’re into prog-rock-esque licks and jams.
I was trying to sound like I was in the know. Were you convinced? Actually, neither was I. Ha!
