From the off I need to apologise for the light glare present in the photos. We are in the midst of winter and I hit some annoying lens flare that I just couldn’t get rid of no matter where I positioned the camera. Battling winter light when you want to take really crisp photos is frustrating in this case, although I understand that the softness is desired in other situations.
Shop the look
1 // Knitted cashmere tee – Grana – olive (old)
3 // Skinny high rise Japanese denim jeans – Grana – bleach wash
I love a double knit, not so much for the visual impact but for the feel. There’s nothing quite like wearing soft cashmere directly against your skin, and then layered another over top for that truly cosy feel. Creatively there isn’t much to this look, and it’s very much my jumper-jeans uniform. However there is a small bit of interest generated from the olive tee neckline peeking above the cream crew neck of the jumper. Subtle colour layering.
I’m also really enjoying wearing Japanese denim too. It’s such a relief to wear jeans that don’t pinch in awkward places, and gives me a little space after eating. Unfortunately due to an awkward lower body shape (large waist, non-existent bum) this pair do slip on me as the day wears on, but I guess hoiking up your jeans every few hours is far preferable to suffering from indigestion from a waist that is too tight on you.
Old ages gives me space to make compromises like this!
Also, Cladwell is actually giving you the chance to try out Outfits free for a month, but you have to sign up by, well, tomorrow, to take advantage of that! So get clicking. PS: I’ve also been told some exciting updates that will hit in the future, which will make the app even more flexible and easy to curate for various scenarios in your life.
Anyway, my plan to document the daily outfits that Cladwell has come up for me until the end of the month has just gone to the dogs. There are so many things I was planning for the blog, but then a heap of other responsibilities to do with my day job and my role at the pole studio have come up. Don’t interpret this as a whine. I would just be dealing with everything if I wasn’t writing on a public platform, but since I am opening this part of myself up to others (are there others? Does anyone actually read my corner of the internet?!) a little bit of explanation needs to be provided.
At any rate, please bear with in the mean time if posts are even less than regular in the coming weeks/month or so. I have so much fun stuff planned, as well as a little appearance change with the website (the ball’s in my court on that one – I need to sit down to do some design tweaking).
