Welcome to Aaron and Nikki’s wedding!
The day was ideal – early February, blazing hot, super casual, super intimate. The celebrant was a Queensland cousin, the bride wore custom printed Lion King Converse, the wedding rings were handmade by each other respectively, and Grandma made the wedding cake plus all the other sweets.
I’ve known Aaron since uni days. We met in Japanese class and bonded over our love for the country, food, movies, pop culture. He introduced me to Invader Zim and that blasted Doom Song (which I would then ear-worm sing all day).
Aaron and Nikki love their beer, and there was plenty of drink to go round; the father of the bride made an epic speech, and as cliché as it sounds, you could really feel the love that everyone had for the couple. It was the best kind of excuse for a party you could have wanted.
